Dear Parents and Carers,
RE: Cerise and Magenta Class Trip to Crystal Palace Park – Monday 29th June 2026
As part of our topic, We Are Palaeontologists, we will be visiting Crystal Palace Park to explore the dinosaur sculptures and enjoy the dinosaur-themed playground.
All classes will leave school promptly at 9.15am. We will walk to the park, which we estimate will take approximately 25 minutes. We aim to return to school by 2.15pm.
As the children will be walking to and from the park and taking part in activities throughout the day, please ensure that your child wears comfortable shoes and brings a waterproof coat if appropriate. As the weather can be unpredictable, we will monitor the forecast and keep you informed of any changes. If conditions are exceptionally hot or wet, we may need to cancel the trip at short notice.
We would be grateful for parent volunteers to accompany us on the trip. If you are available to help, please let your child’s class teacher know as soon as possible.
There is no requirement for schools to ask parental permission for trips that take place within the school day. However, if you have any concerns about your child attending this trip please speak to your child’s class teacher.
The children will eat lunch in the park. If you would like to pre-order a FREE school packed lunch for this trip, you must complete the online form below by Thursday 11th June 2026. This is to ensure that the kitchen staff have sufficient time to order in the correct food.
Alternatively, you can provide your child with home-made healthy packed lunch which should NOT contain fizzy drinks, sweets, or NUTS (including Nutella or Kinder Bueno, due to pupil allergies). Lunch should be in a clearly labelled container or bag.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Reception Team
