Dear Parents and Carers,

RE: Year 4 Trips to Sydenham Hill Woods

For the landing of our science topic this term, Classification and Changing Habitats, Year 4 Classes will be going on a local trip to Sydenham Hill Woods where children will explore the woods and participate in a number of different activities.

The Year 4 classes will each go on a separate day.
These dates are:

Cobalt Class – Monday 13^th July 2026

Azure Class – Tuesday 14^th July 2026

Turquoise Class – Wednesday 15^th July 2026

We will be walking to and from Sydenham Hill Woods. Children will need to wear school uniform but may wear trainers. They will also need to bring a water bottle and be prepared for the weather (e.g. hat, suncream, raincoat). We will return before the end of the school day.

There is no requirement for parental permission for trips that happen within the school day, however if you have any concerns please speak to your child’s class teacher.

If you would like to pre-order a free school packed lunch for this trip, you must complete the online form below by Monday 29^th June 2026.  This is to ensure that the kitchen staff have sufficient time to order in the correct food. Alternatively, you can provide your child with a home-made healthy packed lunch which should NOT contain fizzy drinks, sweets, or nuts/Nutella (due to pupil allergies).

We may need parent helpers for these trips, if you are available to help please let the School Office know.
