This is a message from Lewisham Council in regards to Free School Meal Vouchers over the holidays:
Message:
We are writing to inform you about an important change to the Holiday Free School Meal (FSM) Voucher Scheme. The FSM voucher scheme, which has provided financial support to eligible families during school holidays, was funded by the Government’s Household Support Fund.
Although the funding ended on 31 March 2026, we continued to fund vouchers for the Easter and May half-term holidays. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to provide these vouchers. This isn’t a council decision and not something that we want to do – the funding that paid for the vouchers has ended nationally and we have extended it as far as we can.
We understand this news may be difficult, and we want to reassure you that a range of support remains available for families in Lewisham. I attach the actual letter here, as it contains links to projects and HAFs over the summer break.
