Dear Parents/Carers,

The KG Circle (PTA) would like to invite you along to the following meeting:

The KG Circle Coffee Morning/ Annual General Meeting (AGM) Friday 16^th October 2026; 9:00 – 10:00am in the Paxton Hall

At this meeting you can meet current members of the Committee and discuss events for the 2026/27 school year. Hot drinks and light refreshments will be provided. Pre-school children are welcome to attend with you.

Please come join us!

The meeting is open to everyone and is informational; attending is a chance to see what we do and have your say. It is not a commitment to volunteer.

What is the KG Circle?

The KG Circle is a group of parents and carers working together with school staff to organise fun, community building events at KG, raise money to help fund essential school resources, and to provide a voice for parents in school matters.

What does the KG Circle do?

The KG Circle organises a programme of exciting events throughout the school year for the enjoyment of our children. These events are an important part of school life and help to create a thriving school community.

In the 2025/26 school year we put on a number of fantastic events:

• The annual Summer and Winter Fairs
• After school bake sales
• Themed movie nights
• Our first Spring Disco!

These events not only build community but aid the KG Circle’s other function: to help the school raise funds that support the school’s community.

Last year we raised £7,500 and this is some of what we used the fundraising for in the last year:

• Bringing a live owl and hawk experience into the school
• Launching our Thursday Family Mornings
• Planting our Bee Garden
• Organising and running the World Book Day costume swap
• Subscription of library software enabling pupils of Kelvin Grove to make best use of the school library
• Supporting the Year 5 Nethercott trip
• Running the New Starters event to welcome and support families with children entering Reception

• Funds raised at our November bake sale donated in support of the British Red Cross’ work in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean following Hurricane Melissa

Plans for the 2026/27 school year have already begun, starting with the fantastic news that the KG Circle has been awarded a grant from Tesco to help refresh our community garden this autumn. We will be providing additional funds and volunteer support.

There are also future plans to provide funding to refresh the SEN playground.

We hope to be able to continue to deliver an exciting and successful range of activities for the next school year.

However, to achieve this we need some help!

Please join us on October 16th for our Annual General Meeting to hear more about the KG Circle plans for 2026/27 and ways that you can help. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your involvement – big or small – makes a huge difference!

The meeting is open to everyone in the Kelvin Grove community and is not a commitment of your time moving forward.
