Headteacher's Message
We have made it to the end of term and I am so proud of all we have achieved. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you have given over the past few weeks.
The performances were so well attended and the children did us really proud. Their singing was amazing. The choir too have put on a number of excellent performances.
The KG Circle ran a wonderful Winter Fair which so many attended. As well as raising money, fun was had by all and there were some amazing food and great stalls.
We are saying goodbye to three members of staff: Mrs Saunders who has been teaching in Gold and Blue class; Mr Kat who has been a teaching assistant across the school but this year focussed on Year 5; and as I mentioned in our last newsletter, we also say goodbye to Mrs Campbell who has given so many years of service as a teacher to our school community. They are all going on to new jobs and the next phase of their careers. We wish them well and hope they take away fond memories of their time here.
I hope you all have a wonderful, splendid break and, in which ever way you and your family celebrate, I wish you the Seasons Greetings.
School starts for children on Tuesday 9th January 2024 and learning will start at 8.45am. Please be on time!
See you all in the new year.
Winter Performances
This term was packed full with all year group Seasonal Performances and other winter events. The children put on such wonderful shows and sang beautifully. It was lovely to see so many of you there to cheer them on and join in with the encore songs.
Please look out for a text with album links relevant to your child’s year group to see all the photos for their performances.

All throughout the school children work hard in class and within our school community earning tokens for their classes and stickers for their Bronze, Silver and Gold reward charts. Children earn these by showing one (or more) of our school values; Self Improvement, Compassion, Building Community and Health & Wellbeing. As we come to the end of the autumn term it’s amazing to see so many children completing awards. A huge well done to all the children who have completed their Bronze and Silver certificates so far!

KG Christmas 2023
The KG community have outdone themselves once again! Tuesday was our Festive Dinner and Christmas Jumper Day, and children came dressed to impress with Christmas jumpers, sparkles and some glorious festive attire. We’d like to thank Mrs Jupp for all her hard work preparing the dinner halls to give the children a wonderful festive lunch experience.

The KG Circle
As another year draws to a close, we wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you- we have absolutely loved working with the Kelvin Grove community this year to deliver a wide selection of fun events to raise money for the school, and we couldn’t have done any of it without your help and support. We extend our thanks to our children, parents and carers, all KG staff and the wider community who have supported us throughout 2023.
The role of the KG Circle is not just to raise money, it’s to bring our community together to celebrate our children, and create memorable moments that we can share together for years to come.
We have welcomed new members into the group, and seen lots of new faces come to help us with our events- and we really hope this builds into 2024 as our fundraising efforts grow through the year.
This term alone we raised over £2000 for the school, which really is an incredible achievement so thank you to all of you who donated, contributed your time, or just came to enjoy the events. We are grateful to each and every one of you.

Our Winter Fair last week was such a lovely event with so many happy faces, thanks to all of you who showed up. The raffle was a huge success with over 500 tickets sold, thanks to everyone who bought their tickets and contributed prizes!
Congratulations to all 10 winners (top 5 here) 🎉
