Headteacher's Message
A big thank you to the KG Circle for organising such a wonderful Spring Fair last Friday. It was great to see so many of you there. All the funds they are raising at the moment are going to be targeted to improving our play spaces and play equipment across the school site.
As I informed you, I met with the Forest Hill Community Police last week and they have promised to provide a regular patrol to monitor parking in the vicinity of the school.
Parents Evenings have been well attended. It has been excellent to see so many of you in school and celebrating your child’s learning as well as listening and engaging with targets that will help improve your child’s learning further. Forging strong and positive partnerships between home and school is key to your child’s happiness and progress in school.
Have a safe and restful Easter/Spring break, Summer term is long with plenty packed into it. We will see you all on our return Monday 15th April 2024.
Morning Gate Access
Please note only parents who are dropping their children to Breakfast club in the morning should be going through the reception class playground gate. Some parents have been using this gate before the school is open to gain access to other playgrounds which are not yet staffed. Parents should not be on school premises before the school is open to pupils for morning registration. If you are early there are some benches available near the school office entrance you can use. Many thanks for your cooperation.
Terrific Trips!

Lot’s of year groups have had some wonderful trips this term, from River wading to the Young V&A, to great adventures across London to St. Paul’s Cathedral, it’s been a busy and successful term. Thank you to our parent volunteers who have helped out with class trips this term, it always makes such a big difference to have extra helping hands. Keep an eye on the class letters and school calendar for upcoming trip announcements, the Summer term is promising to be just as busy!

Autism Acceptance Week
Autism Acceptance Week is from the 2nd to the 8th April this year, which for us falls during the Easter holidays.
At KG, from the week beginning Monday 22nd April, we will be acknowledging Autism Acceptance Week and celebrating our wonderfully diverse school through a variety of different activities both in the Resource Base and our mainstream classrooms.
The National Autistic Society’s theme for Autism Awareness Week this year is “colour”. On Friday 26th April children are invited to come to school in their most colourful clothes!
