Headteacher's Message
Thank you all for contributing to such a positive return for our children.
Kelvin Grove continues to be a safe, happy and inspiring place to learn.
We will be carrying out some work on our outside environment over Easter and hope to take full advantage of our wonderful campus in the Summer term both in the school day and after school.
Everyone needs a break as the Summer term will bring both sunshine and fresh challenges for us as a community to overcome.
Your continued support is what ensures our children make the very best progress in all aspects of learning and personal development.
Let’s all be proud of what we have achieved.
Parents' Evenings
Parents’ Evenings will take place on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd April. The meetings will take place via video link and we will send a letter home on Tuesday detailing how to book.
RockSteady
Jamie from RockSteady has been teaching the children all about Rock and Pop music, ready for the band lessons which will start next term.
We are aware of the huge demand for places. Although this is a positive in many ways it has caused upset to many who could not book a place.
The school were not aware that this was a final booking system rather than a system allowing the register of interest or that this would be opened immediately. Therefore we will first gauge a register of interest and fairly distribute places. We will expand capacity where possible.
Big Red Box
We have formed a partnership with Kings Church to receive, at least once a month, donations of the Big Red Box containing non-perishable food items such as pasta, rice, coffee, biscuits, cereal etc. If you would like a box, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Ms Ballard on nballard@kelvingrove.lewisham.sch.uk
