Headteacher's Message
It looks like there will be some good weather over the next week, so I really hope everyone can have a relaxing half term break with the opportunity to go out and have some fun. In our final term we will be hoping to take advantage of the good weather and outdoor spaces to support the curriculum, children’s health and mental health.
I recently had a really positive meeting with the residents of Kelvin Grove. Their support for the school and partnership with us is invaluable. We agreed that safety, happiness and harmony and a healthy, beautiful environment were our shared goals.
The iron gate at the bottom of Kelvin Grove allows us to keep the street free from cars at the beginning and end of the school day, but we use the street all day. Please be respectful if you need to drive up to the school. You should only do this in the case of emergencies. If it is not an emergency, please park in another street and walk the last bit. This includes dropping off on Dallas Road in the morning as it has become quite dangerous to access Rosamond Street. Never ever park on the pavement as this forces children onto the road and makes it impossible for parents with buggies.
Please do not smoke when waiting for drop off or collection, never drop litter or use bad language, this goes against everything we are trying to achieve as a healthy community school. When stood waiting at the beginning and the end of the day, please be mindful of not sitting on walls or tying dogs to fences, think about how you would expect somebody to behave outside your property.
In everything we do we need to show respect for one another. It is so important that we model to our children the behaviours we expect to see.
I would like to wish you all a wonderful half term and look forward to seeing you back to school on Monday 7th June.
