Ochre class have been enjoying their ‘Let it Grow’ topic all about plants and what they need to survive. We have been able to do lots of planting in science, and so far we have cress seeds and runner beans growing in the classroom as well as some wildflowers outside in the playground planter! We made predictions about which plants would grow best after changing the conditions of some seeds, like how much water or light they had.
In art we used clay to create some pots, which we carefully painted. This week we will make some origami flowers to go inside them.
In English last week we finished writing our own story based on ‘The Flower’ by John Light. Everyone worked so hard on their stories, and it was great to read the final results.
