What a great first term we have had in Nursery, the children have settled into Nursery life happily exploring and learning. We have enjoyed playing with the water, sand and participating in lots of creative activities and playing in the home corner.

We have enjoyed reading lots of different stories this term, our favourites being ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’, ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?’, ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and ‘Owl Babies’, just naming a few.

This week, we have been reading the story of ‘Handa’s Surprise’. We have been learning all about the different animals and fruits and then trying to remember which animal took which fruit. We were very impressed at how the children remembered! The children have confidently enjoyed using story props to retell the story with their peers. We have also made our own big basket that we are planning to fill with Handa’s fruits as well as our favourite fruits.
