In English we’ve been studying the book ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ by Michael Morpurgo. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve written a detailed description of the peculiar stranger and written a diary entry as the protagonist from the story.
‘Suddenly I saw something greyish and furry scurrying under the table. I screamed because there were thousands of these dangerous rodents everywhere! RATS!’
In Science, we’ve been investing which rocks were the hardest by carrying out a scratch test. We discovered that granite and marble are extremely hard rocks.
In Geography, we’ve been using atlases, Google Earth and other sources to find out about volcanoes and earthquakes. Did you know that lava can get up to 1200 degrees?
In Maths we’ve been practising our 2x, 10x and 5x tables. We are now learning our 3x tables.
It has been a fabulous start to the term!
