This week in Mr Gough’s English class, we have written our innovated stories, based on Pie Corbett’s story, ‘The Caravan’. We were focusing on using descriptive phrases to describe the ‘special place’, and the storm which trapped us and made us fear for our life.

In Maths, we have been learning about addition. We began by discussing mental strategies and progressed on to using the formal written column method to solve a 4 digit + 4 digit calculation with re-grouping.

We have also been extremely busy in the afternoons too. In Science, we concluded the ‘States of Matter’ unit by learning about how evaporation and condensation are key aspects of the water cycle.
