What a start we have had to the new term. The children came to school to discover that a gigantic beanstalk had grown in the corner of the Year 1 corridors.

The children followed the giant footsteps to find more clues to suggest that something mysterious had happened overnight. The children believe that the giant from ‘The Jack and the Beanstalk’ has come down the beanstalk in search of Jack. He clearly made a mess while he was searching and feasting at Kelvin Grove. This has led the children to come up with lots of questions which they will be trying to solve over the next few weeks.

The appearance of the beanstalk is great timing as we will be learning about Plants in our topic ‘Let it grow’.
