How amazing it has been watching our caterpillars in Nursery. The children have been very careful and gentle when observing their growing caterpillars. They have been lucky enough to experience the three stages of the caterpillar’s lifecycle, from caterpillars to cocoon and then finally watching our beautiful painted lady butterflies fly away in Forest School.
Nursery also enjoyed learning all about the Queen and preparing for our own Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The children made cucumber sandwiches and decorated biscuits in red, white and blue to share with their families.
We also talked about what we like to have in our sandwiches. Do we like marmalade like the Queen and Paddington? Or do we prefer something else. What do you like to have in your sandwich?
