We have had such an exciting start to term with Mr History’s visit. Getting to learn about World War II from someone who knows so much was a fantastic Entry Point to our topic. We spent time listening to Mr History as he shared his knowledge and we got to ask questions, then we had a chance to dress up in uniforms from the Second World War, to try gas masks on, to play with toys that children would have played with in the 1940s and to fire replica wooden guns! It was a little noisy at times when we used the air raid siren! We’re now really looking forward to learning more about World War II and in particular the impact of the war on London.
