This morning we were up early again to look after our animals. Breakfast followed and we were filled with cereals, toast, beans and scrambled eggs.
Group 1 worked really hard making pasties for lunch, there were some visitors today who were also lucky enough to try out the pasties.
Group 2 spent the afternoon in the Spinney, as with the other children they absolutely loved it. Check out their photos to see their painted faces and den building skills.
Group 3 cleaned out the horses and worked so hard to make them lovely dry beds to sleep in. They then went over to Bridgetown farm to look after the sheep and cows.
Tonight we are having a celebration meeting and packing our suitcases. After we have packed it sounds like the talent show is going ahead – there are nine acts!!!
We have some more did you knows for today:
Did you know: the pointier the egg, the younger the chicken that laid it
Did you know: sheep only have bottom teeth (check our photos for the evidence)
Did you know: that cows have five stomachs
Did you know: that male sheep have their chests painted so that when they mate with the females the farmers know – the females have paint on their rears as evidence
Did you know: that farmers test to soil to see how sweet or sour it is using a soil testing kit – this lets them know which vegetables should be planted
See you tomorrow families.
