We have had a busy few weeks in cerise class from exploring liquids and solids, to learning our all about positional language and finding out how and why we write lists. Here is some of our learning!
We used our class story ‘Betty and the Yeti’ to write lists of warm winter clothes that we might need to stay warm in the cold weather. We also tried to use adjectives to describe each item. We even designed our own winter clothes such as jumpers and gloves using different types of ways to join materials, such as glue, tape and split pins.
We have also been using positional language to describe and deepen our understanding of where things are. We have used the dolls house this week, in our play and maths lessons to describe where the people are. We have listened to one and two step instructions and placed the people in the correct place.
This week in PSE we focused on what makes a good friend and what you can say to show people you are a good friend. Our class toy, Jigsaw Jenny, took turns listening to each child say something nice to their friend. We all felt very happy and loved by the end of the lesson.
