In Azure class we have been thoroughly enjoying our English topic ‘Horrible Histories’. Our end goal is to write an informative article in the style of the Horrible Histories author, Terry Deary, for Year 3 children. In lessons we have been picking out features of Horrible Histories and what makes the book so much fun to read! We can’t wait to write in this style and explore how to make our work even more gruesome and funny for our target audience.
In maths we have continued with learning our 7 times tables, making our own flashcards to help support us in our learning and using memory seeds to help us make connections. I am extremely proud of how hard the class is working to make progress with their times tables, keep it up!
Group C have been looking at making their own mosaic tiles with a symbol from Roman times. We printed these using different colours to make patterns and they look great! We have found it really interesting to look at the history of mosaics and why they were used and what they were made from. We were able to get creative with our designs using geometric patterns to add detail to our work.
