We have had a great week in Saffron class. Last Monday we went on a school trip to the Butterfly House at the Horniman Museum as part of our science topic ‘Animals and Me’. We enjoyed seeing the butterflies fluttering around and two even landed on the grown ups we were with!
In English we started our new book ‘Tadpole’s Promise’ which we have enjoyed as we know so much about metamorphosis and life cycles now, but it managed to surprise us with the ending!
We have also enjoyed starting fractions in maths, carefully making equal parts of a whole. In Art today we have started to sketch our butterflies in readiness for making a butterfly collage, taking care to make them symmetrical. We’re looking forward to covering the human life cycle in science later this week, and getting so see each other’s baby photos. Thank you for all the ones we have had in so far.
