It has been a fantastic couple of weeks in Coral class.
In maths we are counting in ones up to 100 and in English we have started writing the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Music has been lots of fun! This term we have been learning how to play the xylophone, practising the the notes d and c to create our own songs.
This week Coral class have started their print making in art. We have been learning about Andy Warhol and now we are making flower prints inspired by his paintings.
The highlight this term has definitely been our school trip! We had a lovely adventure at the Devonshire Road Nature Reserve where we spent time identifying leaves and flowers at the reserve and meadows. As part of our topic this term ‘Let it Grow’ we have learnt all about plants, their functions, types of plants and flowers. It was exciting seeing all the plants we had learnt about in school at the reserve. Coral class even spent time on a woodland walk, planting potatoes and most exciting of all – pond dipping. Here we saw, newts, leeches, tadpoles, water snails and lots of other plant life!
