Blue class have had such a fantastic term!
In English we have been reading a book called “The Journey” learning how a story can have an effective build up, problem and then be solved with a solution. We then worked hard using these skills to write our own versions of the story. We are very proud of the work we have done in English this term.
Blue class have been focusing on our practical skills in maths, using multi link to deepen our understanding of comparing numbers to 50. In our last lesson we used the multi links to measure the height of different illustrated flowers.
Art has been very messy but great fun this term. We have been using different types of paints to understand how they mix and the textures we can make with them. We’ve experimented with palette knives, scrape painting and mixing media. This week we used permanent markers to create patterns that we then painted with watercolours. Our final pictures came out amazing.
And in science we completed an experiment with rocks using a scale that was invented in 1812 by Friedrich Mohs a German Mineralogist!
