So we thought we would show you our learning on a typical day in the life of Apricot Class.
We start every day with our early morning work which has been learning key words. This term it is the days of the week and the months of the year.

Our first lesson is phonics, which even Mrs B says we are fabulous at!! We are revising lots of sounds this week and today practiced the ‘tch’ and ‘ture’ sounds.
After phonics we move on to guided reading, where some of us go to different classes and other children join us. A much needed movement break – which was the Macarena and wacka and wacka today.

We are learning to tell the time in our Maths lessons. Previously we made our own clocks, today we used them to support our understanding of the clock face, the hands and how they move to different numbers as time moves forward. We now can tell o’clock and half past.
After play time we have English, where we have wrote our own versions of ‘Goldilocks and Just One Bear’. This is a much more modern version of ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. Some of the things Bear gets up to is very funny! We have enjoyed writing our own stories for him.
After lunch we do more guided reading and then finally, we move on to topic work. Today we discussed how we have changed since we were babies. We talked about what is the same and what might be different, like being older! And what has happened to our bodies.
Can you believe it? We really are that busy in just one day!!
