In Saffron class we have had an amazing week!
In English we shared our Guide to Planet Earth for Beegu with some Year 6 pupils, they were very impressed with our knowledge of Earth and it was a lovely morning sharing our work with them. This week we have started our new book ‘Mrs Armitage on Wheels’. Mrs Armitage has wild thoughts about all the wonderful ways she could improve her bike. We especially loved the loud horns Mrs Armitage added to her bike: ask us what noise they make!
In maths we have been using our knowledge of number bonds to ten to help us add and subtract numbers crossing the tens boundary. We have been learning about some of the Hindu deities in RE, and in music we have been accompanying Mr Glenn on different instruments, moving around a carousel.
As part of our Take one Artist week, we spent lessons last week revisiting cool and warm colour palettes and looking at the Abstract expressionist artist Helen Frankenthaler. We used watercolours to create our own action and colour block art in her style. We are very excited to try out much bigger, and more expressive action painting next week!
