The autumn term has been a successful and great term for Rainbow Class. We have continued to enjoy building good relationships within the class, becoming a strong team and settling into good routines.
In English, we’ve explored and listened to a variety of stories with familiar settings. Children have also experienced different writing styles such as recounts, reports and information. As a class we’ve continued to use tools such as Communication in Print, colourful semantics and symbols to build on skills in reading, writing and speaking with great success.
As part of our learning around transport some of us joined Year 2 on a trip to the London Museum of Transport, there we saw many types of transport in real life. We were able to go inside a real bus both old and new, and we got to sit inside an old train which was
We really enjoyed the story of Elmer’s Weather, especially the rain! We were protected by a large umbrella as the adults’ sprayed water on top of us. It surprised some of us but it was very exciting to hear the sound of the ‘rain’; some of the other children were very curious about what was happening and explored with their hands to catch the dripping water as it trickled down the outside of the umbrella.
