In Amber we have been so working so hard this term! In English we were focusing on becoming more independent with our writing. We learned about the differences between a fiction and non fiction book. We looked at the various features of a non fiction book such as contents, headings, diagram and the fun fact at the end!

We are really proud of our writing, we wrote our own booklets about Emperor Penguins which included these different features. We learning how to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops in our sentences. 

In art we have explored lots of new ways to paint, we have created paintings with bubbles and with marbles this week! Now we using watercolours and masking tape to make different layers of colour.

We enjoyed learning different festive songs with Mr Glenn and it was lots of fun performing them in our show with Year 2. Thank you to all our parents and carers who came to watch us.
