We have been reading ‘Betty and the Yeti’ by Ella Burfoot in class this week and have been exploring cold climates and life in the arctic. We have used our increasing phonic knowledge to write lists of clothes you will need to wear in winter. We have loved learning about the different animals that live in this habitat and their special features such as having blubber to stay and warm and being white to camouflage in the snow. In maths we have been exploring positional language and the different ways we can describe where something is. The children have loved looking around the classroom to find hidden things using positional language instructions. The highlight of our week was our winter show. Thank you to everyone who came. The children sang beautifully and all their rehearsal really paid off.
