This week in Bronze class, we have been planning formal letters in English in the role of a 17th century doctor. We have learnt so much about the symptoms and treatments, that we can now officially be described as experts of the plague!
In math, we are currently learning how to simplify, compare and order fractions. We are really enjoying this unit and looking forward to more challenges to come.
In history, we are continuing to learn about diseases and the development of medical treatment over time. So far, we have learnt about at the cause of the plagues and the symptoms and treatments used during these periods in history. We have been looking at lots of primary and secondary sources to really compare and explore how living conditions, beliefs and treatments have evolved as a result of science.
We have been revisiting our colour knowledge in art this term looking at artist and illustrator Sha’an d’Anthes. So far we have looked carefully at her work, identifying key features of her style and exploring her use of Ombre colour palettes. We are excited to create our own inspired works next and get painting.
