Club Xtra was looking at different ways we could recycle and repurpose milk jugs into something else.
After a long group discussion, we came up with a brilliant idea 💡 and transformed the bottle into a piece of playground equipment for KS1 to play with during their lunchtime play.
To create them we cut them in half and carefully used a soldering iron to make a precise hole in the bottle lid. This allowed us to tie the string securely inside, attaching the ball to create our own ‘Cup & Ball’ equipment. We drew patterns and designs on the jug using POSCA pens, to make them bright and colourful for KS1. 🎨
The children have really enjoyed playing with these and have asked for more, so we thought we would invite the children from KS1 in Club Xtra to watch us make them and help us with the creation of new designs.
