We have met baby chicks! They are so small and soft, it was incredible to see them this morning. We’ve been working hard today, caring for the chicks, getting the chickens back in their coop after feeding them, cleaning out the horse and donkey stables, and also working away digging up brassicas to clear up the beds ready for next week’s planting.
One of the highlights today was caring for the horses and brushing their coats and mane. Some of us have been down to the Spinney, sawing branches, drilling holes to create dens and bows! Today Group 2 did the cooking session where they chopped up rhubarb and made a rhubarb crumble – it was delicious! We are having a fantastic time at Nethercott and can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
