Today (June 5th) is World Environment Day! All classes had assemblies earlier in the week with Mr Hyde highlighting our important role in looking after the planet and the environment we live in. We know we are really lucky with our big school and the different outdoor spaces we have to visit. Mr Hyde suggested we go on an environment walk and look at the Nursery, Forest School and Garden areas. This afternoon we took a stroll through the playgrounds and garden, before heading into our Forest School where they took time to enjoy the wildlife, smell the flowers and talk about what they saw there.
Amber class also decided to embrace this further, and will be taking part in the ’30 day Wild Challenge’ where we complete a mini nature activity every day in June. #30dayswild
Another one of our challenges this week has been to go on a sensory walk around our school gardens. We had great fun and recorded our results as a class!
