Turquoise Class have had a fantastic start to the last half term of the year! We thoroughly enjoyed our school trip last week to Devonshire Road Nature Reserve as the launch to our new Science topic ‘Living Things and their Habitats.’ Whilst we were there, we really enjoyed being out in nature and got to explore the meadow, go pond dipping and walk through the woodlands. We also got to identify different types of trees and make an object from clay that was inspired by nature. The Nature Reserve is just a 30 minute walk from school and is definitely what you would call a local hidden gem. We are also really enjoying our new English text ‘Varjak Paw’ about a cat who ventures ‘Outside’ for the very first time. This Tuesday was the International Day of Play so we started to think about play this week and why it is so important for us and for children all over the world. We are proud of all that we are achieving in class and plan to end Year 4 on a high.
