During the summer term, Cerise Class became environmentalists. We have been learning what we can do to keep our environment tidy; putting litter in bin and recycling. Cerise also learnt about how we can save our oceans and seas – preventing longer term harm to sea animals. We created our own posters to show what others can do to help tidy up our local environment, as well as improving things more globally.
We have been learning to use capital letters and full stops, and have wrote about sea animals living in the sea and ocean. We also researched facts about bees to recognise National Bee Day.
Our learning in Expressive Arts, Design and Maths has had lots of cross curricular links. In maths, we have been busy learning about doubling and halving numbers and the relationship and connections between the two concepts. We also then made a piece of toast and cut it into halves independently showing how two equal parts can be divided!
Some of us also enjoyed using the large outdoor sandpit to dig and make a large sandcastle!
