We have had a great few weeks in the run up to the end of term here at Amber! We have been working so hard at becoming independent and resilient learners in preparation for our transition to Year 2.
In English, we have been reading ‘Goldilocks & the Three Bears’ and ‘Billy’s Bucket’ as part of our topic ‘From City to Seaside’. We have been writing our own narratives and trying to include adjectives and character descriptions. We are improving at editing and checking our work for punctuation.
For Geography, we went on a local walk around Sydenham to notice and observe landmarks and make observations on traffic, buildings, and transport.
We loved welcoming our parents and carers to our classroom for our ‘Stay & Share’ sessions. Here, we had the opportunity to share all our books and show our work from this year. We have made so much progress since September and are very proud!
Despite some cloudy and rainy weather, we didn’t let it dampen our enthusiasm for Sports Day. Mr. Djavitt has taught us lots of skills over the year, including ball skills, team games, and following rules. We were happy to take part with Coral and welcome our parents once again.
Mrs. Daniel and Mrs. Merzouki are proud of us and everything we have achieved this year. Well done, Amber!
