Year 1 have been working super hard on their biggest piece of writing yet — non-chronological reports all about penguins! We have learned how to organise our facts into clear sections with headings and use interesting facts to make our writing exciting.
Our reports include information on penguin features, their habitat, diet, and fun facts. We made sure to use subheadings to organise our ideas and even included labeled drawings to show what penguins look like!
Did you know…?
🐧 Penguins can’t fly, but they are amazing swimmers and use their wings like flippers!
🐧 Emperor penguins are the tallest of all penguins—they can grow up to 1.2 metres!
It’s been so exciting to become penguin experts, and we are really proud of our writing. Our teachers are too! 📝✨
