Year 6 have had an amazing week after all their hard work completing the SATs last week. While some of us are off on an exciting residential trip to Normandy, the rest of us have been enjoying a brilliant mix of activities and learning right here at school!
Today, we had a fantastic time at Frylands Wood Scout Outdoor Centre. We challenged ourselves with rock climbing, showed off our precision aim in archery (which really impressed our teachers!), and worked together in teams to build and solve group challenges. It was such a blast and a brilliant way to end the week!
Earlier in the week, we had a French-themed cookery day with Mrs Blanks. The classroom smelt amazing as we made Breton Salted Butter Sablés, cherry clafoutis, and tarte aux pommes—it was hard not to eat everything before the afternoon treat!
We also spent a lovely Thursday afternoon at Wells Park, where we played games and relaxed in the sunshine with a delicious ice cream. What a fantastic week it’s been for Year 6!
