Year 3 had a fantastic trip to the Devonshire Road Nature Reserve recently, where we travelled all the way back in time to experience Stone Age life!
It was amazing to try out the things we’ve been learning in our topic. We learned how Stone Age people prepared for winter and how they took shelter from predators. We even had a go at making our own Stone Age medicines from plants!
We used charcoal to create our own cave drawings, just like real Stone Age artists, and we tried grinding grains to make flour. Exploring the area was amazing, but our favourite part was definitely getting to create our own Stone Age tools!
