Our Stone Age topic has taken over our Art lessons in Year 3 this week! We’ve been learning all about Skara Brae and got really excited about making our own Stone Age-inspired pots.
First, we looked closely at the different patterns and markings people used on their pots long ago. We had fun sketching out our own ideas and thinking about how we could make them look like they were from the past.
Then it was time to get our hands messy with clay! We tried out different ways to press, carve, and shape our designs, just like people did thousands of years ago.
It was so much fun being potters for the week, and we’re really proud of what we made. Don’t our pots look great?
