Year 3 launched their new Science topic, Rocks, Soil and Fossils, by observing and describing different rocks using magnifying glasses. They then carried out fair tests to explore hardness, absorbency and how rocks react to “acid rain” (vinegar), recording their results carefully, and were fascinated by chalk’s reaction!
