What a fantastic afternoon we’ve had on the farm!
Group 1 had such a fun time down at the Spinney, taking part in forest school activities. They worked brilliantly together using tools carefully and safely to create their own bows and even make charcoal. It was great to see such teamwork, resilience, and creativity in action.
Group 2 got stuck into more farm tasks before heading down to Bridgetown to spend time looking after the horses. There’s something really special about building trust with the animals and learning how to care for them properly.
Group 3 continued with their farm jobs and then had the chance to get up close with the cows, feeding them for the evening. It was a brilliant hands-on experience and a real taste of authentic farm life.
After all that hard work, we were definitely ready for dinner! We enjoyed a big, hearty meal made with fresh vegetables and produce from the farm, it was incredibly filling and well earned.
In the evening, Group 3 headed out on a calming night walk, taking in the peaceful countryside, while the other groups enjoyed some relaxing time together in the house. We all came back together to enjoy a story before settling down for the night.
We went to bed excited for the next day, especially because we were looking forward to seeing the baby chicks! 🐣
