Indigo Class have launched into their new topic – ‘Paintings on Walls’ by looking at the history of art on walls from cave paintings to modern day street art.

We have begun to explore our topic questions : is graffiti – art or crime? Ancient or modern? We each had our own opinions about graffiti and were able to give a variety of reasons to support our views. As part of our launch we designed our own graffiti style ‘TAG’ for our first names. In guided reading we are reading ‘Vincent’s Starry Night and Other Stories’ which is a non-fiction text for children about the history of art.
