Parent Governor Statement

I am standing for election as a parent governor because:

I have had the privilege of being a Kelvin Grove parent for the last six years and will continue to be one for the next three and a half. The school has given so much to my children and as a governor I want to help ensure it continues to offer fantastic learning opportunities – inside and outside the classroom – to its diverse community of children, giving them the best possible start on their learning journey through life.

As a working parent in a senior leadership role in the corporate world, I can bring a valuable different perspective on organisational leadership and management to the governing body. In my day job, I lead strategy on how to engage the vulnerable in society with essential services by making them inclusive and accessible. I think this knowledge and experience can be of benefit to Kelvin Grove and its purpose of being an inclusive community school.
