Hello and welcome back everyone. We hope you have all had an enjoyable half term. This week the children in Cinnamon Class have been learning about basic mark making skills needed for drawing. They have discovered that different marks will create different tones and textures. They recognised that they could change the thickness of the lines by adding more pressure.
In English this week, we have been learning the poem ‘Recipe to Make a Wolf’ by Pie Corbett. The children have been busy reciting the poem as we are preparing to plan and write our own version of the poem by the end of the week.
In Maths this week, we’ve been selecting, counting coins and pounds and comparing different amounts of money. In Science, we’ve discussed how animals change as they grow. The children found out that animals produce young and these babies need to be cared for by their parents. We discovered that some babies look nothing like their adult parents when they are born.
It’s been an exciting week of learning and we are looking forward to seeing more of their fantastic home learning.
Have a great weekend!
