In Azure class we’ve been so busy with our learning. In Maths we’ve been tackling Fractions – they’re very tricky but now we know that the denominator (that’s the bottom number in a fraction) stays the same when you’re adding or subtracting, we’re ready to try subtracting with mixed numbers.
We’ve been learning all about the Romans for our Topic work and have been writing about them in English too. This week we have looked closely at the Horrible History writings by Terry Deary and his style of writing. He uses lots of emotive language and rhetorical questions. Did you know Romans came to Britain because we had such fertile land? Perfect for growing lots and lots of crops and corn to feed those large Roman armies!
And in Science this week we had a great trip to the garden looking at invertebrates, it was amazing how many we found right here at Kelvin Grove!
