Emerald Class have had a busy week of learning in out Lights, Camera, Action! learning journey. We have been using atlases to locate the names of continents and oceans. We even used Google Earth to zoom into the school from space!
We have been looking at the difference between natural and artificial sources of light in Science and in English practising the different spellings for the long ‘i’ sound.
In Maths we have been learning to use place value counters to represent numbers to 200 and some of us have been using this to solve reasoning problems. In English, we have been writing a diary as Charly to recount her day as an engineer. In PSHCE, we have been following the unit ‘Me in My World’ and creating a Learning Charter. We have been learning about Zones of Regulation and strategies we can use to self-regulate. We have also been enjoying singing with Mr Glenn and Mr Lea.
