Apricot class are reading and learning the alternative version of Little Red Riding Hood called ‘Little Red’ off by heart. We took turns to pretend to be the characters and now we have begun practising to retell the story using actions. It has been lots of fun and hopefully by next week all the children will be able to tell their families the story themselves.
We have also been looking at signs of Autumn and been sharing our understanding of what happens in nature. Children drew autumnal trees and put together items of clothing needed at this time of year.
In Maths we have been practising counting to ten forwards and backwards as well as comparing numbers by using vocabulary such as greater than, less than and equal to.
