We have had a wonderful week in Cerise class. We started our new story ‘I will not ever never eat a tomato’. Cerise class enjoyed finding out all about Lola and her fussy eating! We discussed the food that we do and do not like eating. We have begun to use our phonics and mark making skills to begin to write down our ideas.
In maths we have been finding out all about the number 5. We have explored how to make 5, write 5 and which number comes before and after 5. It was great fun using the cubes to create our own 5 number blocks in a variety of ways. We made birthday cakes with 5 candles out of play-doh and the hammer and pins.
P.E has been such great fun. We practised our throwing and catching skills. This was also a chance for us to think about turn taking and working as a team!
Cerise class love messy and exploratory play! We used coloured spaghetti to explore texture and smell. We added herbs to our spaghetti to develop our understanding of our senses. It was great fun using a range of tools such as knives, forks, rolling pins, mashers and spoons to investigate the slimy spaghetti.
