Emerald class have had a fantastic start to our new Learning Journey ‘Stones ‘n’ Bones’ where they launched straight in and created some Cave Art!

In English, we are learning to infer meaning from pictures and understanding how a protagonist character may be different from how other characters see them, from the story ‘The First Drawing’. In Spelling we have been looking at the year 2 and 3 common exception words and what strategies we can use to help us remember them. 

In Science we are beginning to look at the human diet and what nutrients we need to live well. In Maths, we have started to learn the extended column addition and how to use place value to help us answer problems. In PSHCE, we are learning to celebrate difference and this week we are finding out what makes a family.
