We learnt about the festival of light ‘Diwali’. We made chapattis and wrote a recipe list. In English we started reading and writing about the ‘Runaway Chapatti’ , who is like the Gingerbread Man!
A special visitor came to see us – Mrs Kaur from our Nursery. She spoke to us about celebrating Diwali, showed us some special outfits and jewellery that she wears and demonstrated how to dance in a ‘bhangra’ way.
We made cards and diva lamps to celebrate the festival of light. We also focused on colour and shape to design rangoli cards.
