This term, in Cobalt Class we have been busy becoming food experts in our topic ‘Farm to Fork’. We loved our trip to Mudchute Farm where we got to see up-close animals that are farmed in the UK for food production.
In our geography sessions we have used atlases to locate where in the world different crops are grown and the reasons why they grow in particular parts of the world.
In science lessons, we have been learning all about our digestive system. We have learnt the names and functions of the different types of teeth humans have. We are currently involved in testing the effects of different drinks on our teeth. It has been quite shocking so far to see how much damage sugary drinks could do to our teeth as you can see from the damage the drinks have caused to the egg shells! Water has definitely proven to be the best drink for protecting our teeth from decay.
