In Saffron class we have been enjoying our topic ‘The Great Fire of London’. In History we looked at the different jobs people did in the past: we particularly enjoyed the rat catcher and the gong farmer.
In Art we have explored colour mixing, and have painted a fiery background before we added our silhouette of London in 1666. On Monday we had a visitor from the Museum of London who took us back in time through lots of interactive storytelling to discover how the fire started and how it was finally brought under control.
In English we have just finished our book ‘Vlad and the Great Fire of London’, and shared our views on the story and characters in our ‘book talk’. We are very enthusiastic about this topic, and look forward to sharing our knowledge with you!
